Exemplaire de tête sur Japon ancien, avec les 3 eaux-fortes de Picasso, dans une magnifique reliure “céleste” de Louise Bescond. De la bibliothèque Pierre Bergé. Le Siège de Jérusalem conclut la « trilogie Matorel » de Max Jacob, après Saint Matorel et les Œuvres burlesques et mystiques de Frère Matorel. « Derain est à nouveau sollicité (comme pour Saint Matorel) mais refuse aussitôt. Picasso, par contre, accepte et s’acquitte de la tâche pour son ami au cours de l’hiver 1913-1914, en créant trois gravures qu’il intitule Femme nue (pl. I), Nature morte au crâne (pl. II), Femme (pl. III) » Goeppert-Cramer, Picasso, n°3 ; The Artist & the Book 1860-1960, n° 223: "the second and last of Picasso’s early Cubist illustrations”.
In-4 (238 x 165 mm). Édition originale. Tirage limité à 106 exemplaires numérotés, celui-ci l’un des 15 exemplaires de tête sur Japon ancien, n°12, signé à la justification par Pablo Picasso et Max Jacob. 3 gravures originales de Picasso : une eau-forte, une pointe sèche et une pointe sèche et eau-forte (la deuxième eau-forte, à toutes marges, est de marges plus réduites que les deux autres). Reliure signée de Louise Bescond, datée 2014 : box crème, plats constellés de pointillés dorés et pailletés d’or sur leurs bords, dos lisse, titre doré en long, doublures et gardes du même box crème ornées à l’identique, couverture et dos conservés, coupes peintes à l’or avec pointillés à froid, tranches dorées sur témoins, chemise "à la belge" et étui assortis, emboîtage.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
