Rare first edition of the 26th Relation. This relation covers two years, as Quen's first report got confiscated at sea by the Spanish. It includes Le Jeune's reconstruction of that report, and the partial report of 1654-1655 which had arrived too late to be included in the 25th Relation. Bell 53; Church 554; Howes J-106 ("b"); McCoy 99/100 mixed issue).
Octavo (161 x 103mm). Woodcut device on title (first four leaves with small repair to lower corner, just affecting end of imprint on title; some marginal dampstains; last 4 leaves with larger repair at upper corner and portions of about 6 lines supplied in facsimile, final leaf with righthand side renewed and about 8 lines in facsimile). 19th-century half calf and marbled boards (a little worn). Provenance: Abbé H. A. Verreau, priest, archivist, and librarian (library label) – Herman Le Roy Edgar (armorial bookplate) – Victor Morin, Canadian collector (bookplate; sold his sale Anderson Galleries, March 1931, lot 195).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
