Réunion de deux traités consacrés à la gastronomie, dont le rare Ars magirica en édition originale.
C’est au médecin allemand Josse Willich que l’on doit l’un des premiers livres de gastronomie parus en Suisse : l’Ars magirica, publié après sa mort par Conrad Gessner. Il y aborde de manière très complète la cuisine et les cuisiniers, les gourmands, les ustensiles, les divers aliments, les épices, etc. Conrad Gessner avait donné, dix ans plus tôt, un plaidoyer contre les excès de la table, dans lequel il prêchait la sobriété. L’édition originale de ce second traité parut en 1556 chez Andreas et Jacob Gessner ; le titre de notre exemplaire, sans date, porte la seule adresse de Jacob, particularité non mentionnée par les bibliographies spécialisées. Bitting, 499 (pour l’Ars magirica, avec la date sur la page de titre) ; Brunet, V, 1456 (date erronée) ; Cagle, 1234 ; Oberlé Fritsch, 59 (« livre très rare ») ; Vicaire, 401 (pour l’édition originale du Sanitatis) et 875 (qui corrige Brunet au sujet de la date du Ars magirica).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
