Max Fuhrmann the Elder was a German painter. After attending the Munich School of Applied Arts, Max Fuhrmann studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich from October 10, 1877 with Alexander Strähuber, Gyula Benczúr and Ludwig von Löfftz.
Fuhrmann worked as a freelance artist in Munich. He created relay pictures, drawings, illustrations, designed boxes for church windows. In 1906 he added the Gothic frescoes in the Augustinian Church in Konstanz.
