Kurt Sohns
Kurt Sohns was a German artist of the twentieth century. He is known as a painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and sculptor.
Sohns created paintings, mosaics, and murals, with a particular interest in depicting interiors and decorative furnishings. In 1932 he became an assistant professor at the Hanover School of Applied Arts, but was expelled in 1937 by the Nazis, who declared his work "degenerate art". After World War II, Sohns worked as a freelance artist and teacher. His works are held in museums and galleries in Paris, Munich, Hannover, Zurich, Dresden and other cities.
