Le tirage de luxe comporte aussi 50 exemplaires sur Hollande et un exemplaire sur parchemin. Édition ornée des portraits de l'auteur et du cuisinier Vuillemot, gravés à l'eau-forte par Rajon. Les 24 dernières pages intitulées Annexe sont des annonces publicitaires rédigées par l'auteur en faveur de grandes maisons de comestibles ou d'orfèvrerie, ainsi qu'une Étude sur la moutarde (9 pages), pour vanter l'excellence de la maison Bornibus. Alexandre Dumas père, l'une des plus fines gueules de son siècle, était fier de ses talents culinaires hérités de sa mère, fille d'un maître d'hôtel du duc d'Orléans, Philippe-Égalité.
3 000 recettes agrémentées par le savoir érudit de l'intarissable conteur. Au soir de sa vie, pansu, rubicond et épuisé par le travail et les plaisirs, il confie : “Je veux clore mon œuvre littéraire de cinq cents volumes par un livre de cuisine”. À Roscoff, durant l'été 1869, il s'appliqua à mettre en ordre les innombrables notes et anecdotes gastronomiques qu'il avait accumulées au fil des années. L'ouvrage posthume vit le jour après la guerre franco-prussienne, avec la collaboration inattendue d'un jeune “travailleur de Lemerre” pour la mise au point du manuscrit : Anatole France. Pour la rédaction de certaines recettes, il avait pris conseil auprès des meilleurs chefs de l'époque, qui comptaient aussi parmi ses amis : Vuillemot dont on retrouve le portrait gravé en tête de l'ouvrage, Brébant, Grignon, les Frères Provençaux, Verdier, Véry, parmi d'autres. Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
