These two children can be compared with a painting by Louis-Léopold Boilly, painter of portraits and genre scenes illustrating Parisian life at the end of the French Revolution, which depicts Two children playing with a goat, in the collections of His Majesty the King of Sweden (E. Breton, P. Zuber, Louis-Léopold Boilly 1761-1845. Le peintre de la société parisienne de Louis XVI à Louis-Philippe, Paris, II, 2019, no. 701 P bis, ill). The young girl wears the same turban in her hair and the younger of the two children is clothed in the same way.
