The most fitting copy of a book describing the economic and social state of 1789 France: the copy presented to Queen Marie-Antoinette, bound with her gilt arms. King’s Louis XVI copy is held by the Bibliothèque de Versailles ; its binding ornamentation is similar to the Queen’s, but the condition is way less pristine than the present copy.
