Joli exemplaire en reliure de l’époque de la première traduction française du texte complet de Cleland, illustrée de 15 gravures érotiques. Considérés comme le premier roman anglais du genre, les Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure furent condamnées dès novembre 1749, l’année de leur parution, mais des copies subsistèrent et circulèrent sous le manteau. Dès l’année suivante, l’éditeur en donna une nouvelle version expurgée sous le titre moins évident des Memoirs of Fanny Hill.
Cette traduction française est la première du texte complet : une version abrégée avait en effet paru en 1751. Pia, Enfer, col. 915.
2 vol. in-12 (127 x 82 mm). 15 figures libres hors-texte, gravées sur cuivre par Elluin d'après des dessins de Borel, tirées sur vergé blanc. Toutes les figures sont avant la lettre, sauf la première (légères rousseurs aux planches ; t. I : taches brunes marginales au cahier D ; t. II feuillets K1 et K2 plus courts de marge extérieure, tache brune en marge inférieure des feuillets H6v et I1r). Reliure de l’époque : veau fauve moucheté, double filet doré sur les plats, dos lisse orné, pièce de titre et tomaison de veau vert, tranches mouchetées de rouge.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
