White marble portal table clock with fire guilding ornaments and We Mathieu Planchon (1842-1921) Bronce Technique mixte France Période de Louis XVI 1780
A beautiful large clockwork with verge escapement (this is special!) Quarterstriking every fifteen minutes, this is as follow: twice, the third three times and on the whole hours only the number of hours on the larger bell. Marble and gilded details in good and beautiful condition. This clock can be found in various books but also in "La pendule Francaise" by Tardy on page 268, see also the detail pictures. For decoration, four very nicely made blue Wedgwood (porcelain) decors.
The dial is covered in white enamel with the name of the master Planchon-Paris, who is the founder of the Planchon clock dynasty.
The clock is fully equipped and in original condition. All serial numbers of parts, and also brands are completely identical.
The clock are unique in that they are in their original working condition and have not undergone any changes until today.
