A CHARLES I SILVER TAZZA

LONDON, 1633, MAKER'S MARK W.C. WITH MULLET BELOW, POSSIBLY ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM COOPER

Circular, on spreading reeded foot, the bowl with scalloped and ribbed sides, the centre chased with a star interspaced with rosettes and punched buds framing a pounced coat-of-arms, marked on side and foot

8 1/2 in. (21.5 cm.) diameter

16 oz. 3 dwt. (503 gr.)

The arms are those of Allott with a mark of cadencey for the second son.
