Shaped oval on four claw and shell feet, the sides pierced with panels of trelliwork framed by stylised scrolls, the rim cast and chased with vines and Ceres mask on each end, the swing handle with dolphin terminals, the centre chased with a frize of rococo ornament, engraved in centre with a coat-of-arms in foliage cartouche, the handle with a crest, marked underneath

The arms are those of Warde impaling Thornhaugh for Patientus Warde (1717-1786) of Hooton Pagnell Hall, Yorkshire and his wife Frances (d.1762), daughter of St Andrew Thornhaugh (1674-1742) of Fenton and Osberton, Nottinghamshire, whom he married in 1744.
