The upper part with moulded and ebonised cornice inlaid with a band of leaves above a pair of glazed doors enclosing three adjustable shelves, the lower part with a pair of flush-panelled doors inlaid with flowers enclosing two short over three long drawers, the fronts veneered in watered ash, the drawers lined in mahogany, the side panels with conforming floral marquetry, on a stepped plinth base with short square fluted, tapering feet, losses and repairs to veneers, probably originally with astragal glazing, the present glazing, lower plinth and feet late 19th century
