Octagonal, with gadrooned rim, engraved with coat-of-arms flanked by supporters and with baron's coronet above, marked under bases and with inventory numbers and engraved scratch weights No 1 29=3, No 2 29=13, No 3 30=8 1/2, No 4 31=4

12 in. (30.5 cm.) long

114 oz. 10 dwt. (3,547 gr.)

The arms are those of Damer impaling Sackville, for Joseph Damer, 1st Baron Milton (1717-1798), later 1st Earl Dorchester, and his wife Lady Caroline Sackville (1718-1775), daughter of Lionel Sackville, 1st Duke of Dorset, whom he married in 1742.
