Each emblematic of one of the four arts including painting, music, architecture and poetry, with pierced oval backs carved with trophies flanked by Corinthian capitals, with loose cushion upholstered in striped floral silk, on Ionic columnar legs headed with paterae, one indistinctly stamped N... with pencil inscriptions to interior of seatrails, possibly instructions for the menuisier, walnut frames
