The cabinet doors decorated in relief with figures on a bridge with a stream and boats beneath to the left, and flowering tree peony to the right and the sides, the top decorated with a scene of two gunships, one ablaze with shipwrecked sailors swimming to shore and their lifeboat also ablaze, the doors enclosing an arrangement of eleven drawers, the reverse of the doors and drawers decorated in relief with various birds amongst landscapes with pagodas and on balconies, the drawer divides and door surround with simulated nashiji decoration, the pierced stand carved with scrolling acanthus, flowerheads and centred by a putto, on double-scrolled legs, losses and restorations
