Kerouac, Jack
Typed postcard signed ("Jack") to Ed White in Denver, as he is about to commence his road trip out west

One page (133 x 81 mm), [Ozone Park?], 16 May 1950, with Jamaica, NY postmark to obverse, one autograph emendation; minimal wear to edges.

A jovial postcard heralding Jack's imminent arrival to Denver, having sold a story in order to buy "500 beers for everybody...to begin festivities with."

"All set to go" Jack writes. Having been living with his mother in New York for eight months following the publication of his debut, The Town and the City, he was anxious to get back on the open road. "Oil up the boms of Denver!" he exclaims. Following time spent relaxing with Ed in the Denver bars, Neal Cassady drove out to meet him and they went on to Mexico for a hazy experimental summer.
