Technique: Porcelain, painted in colours.
Description: The form spherical with a cone finial. On the side of the lower part and the lid with
mythological depictions after the poems of Ovid: depiction of a river god with a female
entourage, looking in the direction of a docking ship, out of which Odysseus is jumping.
Opposite a sky scene with a chariot drawn by two horses and putti. Behind Apollo with
golden arrow and the beloved Clytia. On the tureen lid the depiction of Athena with
helmet, sword, and shield. Next to it a representation of a hero with breastplate. The
third motif is a putto with an imperial orb and a large stone tablet with the August Rex
monogram.
Measurement: Height 24cm, ø 21,5cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze.
