Edward Solly (1776-1844), Berlin and London, probably after 1821, and probably by descent to his daughter,
Sarah Solly (1804-1879), and by descent until,
Anonymous sale; Christie's, London, 31 March 1900, lot 44, as 'Raffaelle', when acquired for 52 gns. by,
J.R. Solly, and presumably by descent until gifted to an ancestor of the seller at the following,
Anonymous sale; Sotheby's, London, 7 July 2004, lot 43, where acquired by the present owner.
