First edition of this fine collection of detective fiction stories, rare in the dust-jacket. Octavo. (Some spotting and finger-soiling, a few short marginal tears.) Original red cloth, spine and upper cover lettered and upper cover with decoration stamped in black (endpapers partially browned); original dust-jacket (lightly rubbed, chip to foot of backstrip and a few short closed tears).

— Curious Happenings to the Rooke Legatees. A series of stories. London: Hodder & Stoughton Limited, 1937.
First edition of this novel chronicling the adventures of five people who inherit a fortune. Octavo. (Light spotting to half-title.) Original blue boards, spine and upper cover lettered in black (very light wear, spine lightly sunned, endpapers partially browned); original dust-jacket (lightly rubbed and marked).

First edition of this detective mystery following an American’s stint aboard a yacht on the French coast. Octavo. One leaf of publisher’s ads at end (a few spots). Original dark blue cloth, spine with yellow ground label titled in black (endpapers partially browned, slightly cocked, lightly rubbed); original dust-jacket (lightly rubbed and creased, spine lightly sunned, several chips with partial loss of a couple of letters at spine ends).

First edition of a collection of Monte Carlo stories. Octavo. Title with vignette, two leaves of publisher’s ads at end (occasional light marginal spotting). Original blue cloth, titles to spine and upper cover in black (spine lightly faded, endpapers partially browned); original dust-jacket (chip to head of backstrip, lightly nicked and soiled, short closed tears repaired on verso with tape).

Provenance: T. A. Bath (stamp to front free endpaper).

Original blue cloth, spine and upper cover lettered and ruled in black (endpapers lightly browned, spine faded); original dust-jacket (spine sunned, large chip to foot with some loss, a few further short closed tears, edges reinforced with tape on verso, lower panel lightly stained, ‘R’ written in pen on upper panel). Provenance: loosely inserted autograph letter by author.
