On the public's appreciation of science. Marie Curie writes that those with a love for science are always pleased by the general public's interest in their work, and she thanks her correspondent for taking the initiative to express it.
[With:] CURIE, Pierre (1859-1906). Autograph letter signed ("P Curie") to an unidentified correspondent, Paris. 9 December 1890. In French. Two pages, 270 x 209mm (light toning, espeically at margins and partly separated folds, pin holes). Curie writes that he has a relationship with M. Mirand (the Paris microscope makers), and discusses the difficulty involved in the construction of microscopes, noting that mastering their manufacture would require exclusive attention to the process.
