Original blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt (spine slightly cocked and sunned); original dust-jacket (backstrip sunned, somewhat tanned and lower panel slightly stained, head of spine panel frayed, tear to upper panel repaired on verso with tape). Provenance: J. M. Rubens (authorial presentation inscription to front free endpaper: ‘For J.M. Rubens this poor return for so much help & kindness from Graham Greene’).

First edition, presentation copy inscribed by the author. Octavo. Original green cloth, spine lettered in gilt; original dust-jacket; housed in modern red quarter morocco box. Provenance: authorial presentation inscription on title: ‘For Bryan who must long to escape from a certain play from Graham’.
