A good copy of the first edition of this work that describes in detail the Milanese plague of 1630, major reference for the novel "Promessi Sposi" by Alessandro Manzoni.

4to (224 x 170mm). Allegorical title engraved by Cesare Bassano and designed by Ottavio Salvioni, Map of Milan in 1628 added in the text (occasional minimal spots). Modern antique style boards, manuscript title to lower edge and on spine; preserved in portfolio and modern marbled paper case.
