First edition of Greene’s first novel. Octavo. Original black cloth, titles to spine in gilt, publisher’s blind stamp to lower board (spine lightly rolled); original printed dust-jacket (rubbed and tanned, tape residue to verso, a few nicks and marks, upper flap creased); housed in green half morocco box.

– The Living Room. A play in two acts. London: Heinemann, 1953.
First edition, presentation copy, inscribed by the author to the play’s first director. Octavo. (Lightly browned.) Original red cloth, titles to spine gilt (faintly rubbed at extremities); original photographic dust-jacket (nicked and lightly rubbed, spine lightly faded); housed in grey cloth slipcase. Provenance: Peter Glenville (1913-1996, the first director of the play; authorial presentation inscription on front endpaper: ‘For Peter with great gratitude & affection from Graham June 1 1953 Begun in Achill, continued in Anacapa & finished in Kuala Lumpur!’).

– The Comedians. London: Bodley Head, 1966.
First edition, presentation copy, inscribed by the author prior to publication. Octavo. Original green cloth, titles to spine gilt (light fading to a portion of bottom edge); original tiny nicks at head of spine, light tanning to top edge of flaps) Provenance: Marcelle Sibon (the author’s French translator; authorial presentation inscription on front endpaper: ‘For Marcelle with love from Graham Christmas 1965’.

First edition. Octavo. Original black cloth, titles to spine in silver (some spots to edges); original photographic dust-jacket (lightly rubbed and nicked, small hole on lower fold of spine panel); housed in a black cloth slipcase. Provenance: Diana Lenygon (embossed library stamp to front endpaper).

First edition, one of just 300 copies. Presentation copy inscribed by the publisher to J. B. Priestley. Octavo. Original green printed wrappers (faint crease to front wrapper). Provenance: J. B. Priestley (1894-1984; bookplate on verso of front wrapper, presentation inscription from the publisher Max Reinhardt on endpaper: ‘To Jack from Max Happy Christmas’).
