Octavo. Photographic plate showing the stage set ['to face page 2'], illustration of the stage in the text on page 66 (very faint browning to endpapers). Original blue cloth presentation binding, upper cover titled and dated '25 NOVEMBER 1958' in gilt within triple gilt fillet border (corners and spine ends a trifle rubbed). Provenance: Verity Hudson, General Manager of the Ambassador’s Theatre (presentation inscription by Agatha Christie on preliminary blank). [And:]

A fine association copy, inscribed by Richard Attenborough to Verity Hudson: 'With my love & very good wishes | always Verity dear | Dickie | August 1954.' Richard 'Dickie' Attenborough played the role of Detective Sergeant Trotter in The Mousetrap from its world premiere in 1952 until 1954. The play ran in London at the Ambassador’s Theatre, of which Verity Hudson was the General Manager. Octavo. Photographic plate showing the stage set ['to face page 1'], illustration of the stage in the text on page 66. Original dark blue cloth presentation binding, upper cover titled in gilt and with 'VERITY' in gilt to lower right corner, flat spine with gilt rules (extremities a trifle rubbed). Provenance: Verity Hudson, General Manager of the Ambassador’s Theatre, London, presentation inscription by Richard 'Dickie' Attenborough on preliminary blank, dated August 1954. [And:]
