Two snuff-boxes modeled as an oval basket, one edged in blue, the other in yellow, and painted inside and out with scattered flowers, the covers molded and painted with a loose bouquet, date mark for 1753 to the mounts, the mounts with the charge mark of Julien Berthe, Paris, 1750-56, the larger also with unidentified J.F.M. mark, 23/4 in. (6.8 cm.) and 13/4 in. (4.4 cm.) wide
A heart-shaped snuff-box painted with loose bouquets and molded with trellis, the interior of the cover similar, circa 1760, the mounts unmarked, probably of a similar date, 35/8 in. (9.2 cm.) long
