EARHART, Ameila (1897-1939). A collection of three typed letters signed, ("Amelia Earhart"), 1929-1933. [Includes:] Typed letter signed to Dr. George Lewis, New York, 29 March 1929. One page, 265 x 183mm, on Hearst's International Cosmopolitan letterhead. Earhart expresses concern over the N.A.A. following the same record keeping as the European F.A., "Therefore, if anything is done, I believe the United States' organization will have to inaugurate the charge." * Typed letter signed to Ann S. Wittingham, Rye, N.Y., 8 September 1932. One page, 265 x 183mm on her personal letterhead (light toning). Advises that 25 acres will be too small of an area to open an airport in her neighborhood, and that there is not enough traffic up the coast for it to be profitable. * Typed letter signed to Emma C. Encinas, Rye N.Y., 12 November 1933. One page, 265 x 183mm on her personal letterhead. Sends condolences to the first Mexican women to receive a pilot's license over her recent bereavement and in her contribution to a recent magazine issue.
