Nuremberg: Christian de Launoy, 1763 [i.e. 1764, date of preface]; Nuremberg: Gustav Philipp Jacob Bieling, 1779; and Altdorf: J.P. Meyer, 1784.

A fine very rare complete copy of the first edition of this work including the scarce third part, which is not mentioned by Pritzel and which Dunthorne states he has not seen. This work was intended as a supplement to Trew’s Plantae Selectae. Dunthorne 311; Nissen, BBI 1996 (parts 2 and 3 only); Stafleu & Cowan TL2 15.135 (collations for parts 1 and 2 only); Great Flower Books (1990) p.144; Pritzel 9496 (parts 1 and 2 only).



3 parts in one volume [Decas I, II and III], large folio (495 x 343mm). 30 finely hand-coloured engraved botanical plates by J.C. Keller and A.L. Wirsing after G.D. Ehret, N.F. Eisenberger, G.W. Baurenfeind and others, of which one folding (contents sometime cleaned?). Modern antique-style mottled half calf, speckled paper boards, spine in compartments with raised bands gilt, red morocco label.
