ONE VINAIGRETTE SCOTTISH, CIRCA 1840, THE OTHER PROBABLY ITALIAN, CIRCA 1880;; A WILLIAM IV SNUFF-BOX BY JAMES NAISMITH, EDINBURGH, 1833; A GEORGE III SNUFF-BOX, LONDON, 1801, MAKER'S MARK GH; A CONTINENTAL PARCEL-GILT SILVER SNUFF-BOX, APPARENTLY UNMARKED, POSSIBLY GERMAN, LATE 18TH CENTURY

The Scottish vinaigrette canted rectangular, the cover and base set with a faceted citrine cabochon, the gold mounts applied with foliate border;

The Italian vinaigrette, oval, set on the cover and base with an orange agate panel, domed on the cover, the sides engine-turned and applied with foliate berried frieze, the varicoloured gold grille pierced with laurel wreath framing a stylised rose;

The William IV snuff-box, rectangular, the concave sides and underside with engine-turned rice pattern, the hinged lid with polished centre framed by a cast entwined fruiting vine border, marked in cover and base;

The George III snuff-box cast and chased overall with flowerheads in cell-pattern quatrefoils, marked in cover and on flange;

The continental snuff-box, rectangular, the cover possibly associated and with a courting scene in a laurel cartouche, the underside engraved with panel of scrolls

The Scottish vinaigrette 1 3/8 in. (3.5 cm.) wide; the William IV snuff-box 3 1/2 in. (9 cm.) wide
