Salomon Rombouts était un peintre néerlandais de l'âge d'or néerlandais.

Salomon Rombouts était le fils et l'élève du peintre paysagiste Gillis Rombouts et travaillait dans son style. Il a principalement créé des paysages avec des forêts et des architectures. L'influence de Jacob van Reisdal est perceptible dans l'œuvre de Rombouts.

En 1678, il devient membre de la Harlem Guild of St. Luke's. Vers 1681, il part pour l'Italie et s'installe à Florence.
