I DO NOT USE subframes (stretched bars) purchased in the store because they can warp after 3-4 years under the influence of temperature difference, the tension of the canvas or thin wood.

Leopold Rottmann était un peintre allemand du milieu du XIXe siècle. Il est connu comme un peintre de paysage qui a travaillé à la fois à la peinture à l'huile et à l'aquarelle.
Leopold Rottmann était un partisan de la peinture naturaliste et héroïco-historique. Il fut le professeur de dessin du futur roi Louis II de Bavière. À la demande de Louis, qui s'inspirait de Richard Wagner, Rottmann réalisa l'œuvre d'art pour la production de l'opéra Lohengrin du compositeur en 1861.
