Tailored, black tricot wool, four-button front, open-collar with silver-aluminum twist cord piping, French cuffs, scalloped and pleated breast pockets, scalloped flap hip pockets, silver pebbled buttons, two belt-ramp buttons at rear vent. Red wool armband with black ribbed rayon tape borders, hand-applied. Sleeve diamond with "SD" hand-embroidered in silver-aluminum thread on black wool backing, hand-applied to lower left sleeve. Cuff title of black band with 7-thread silver-aluminum borders, hand-applied. Single shoulder board of six twist aluminum cords on black wool backing, hand-applied and retained with silver pebbled button. Blank right regimental collar tab of black backing with silver-aluminum twist cord piping. Left rank tab with three aluminum pipes, black cloth backing with piping in silver-aluminum twist cord, both tabs hand-applied. Two loops on breast pocket for awards, loops above pocket for ribbon bar. Lined in black artificial silk with yellow sleeve linings, single inside breast pocket with name tag "SS Untersturmf Ness" and date "Mai 1939", cloth-reinforced opening into pocket for edged weapon suspension and cloth strap with D-ring, inside waist adjustment belt with buckle, tailor label at waist "Wendt & Sohn FRANKFURT A./M.". Black tricot long pants, piped in white wool down outer seams, three-button hidden fly (one button missing) with hook/eye closure at top, slit waist pockets, rear pocket with button closure, adjustable rear waist straps/buckles at each side, ankles with hidden buttons and strap for boot strap attachment. Partially lined in striped rayon and white cotton.
