Original green cloth spine with title, upper cover with title an illustration, lower cover with publisher’s device, all stamped in black (slightly cocked, head-and tailcap lightly bumped, small hole in rear hinge); original dust-jacket from tenth printing supplied from another copy (large chip to top edge with textual loss to upper cover and spine, further tears, some crudely repaired with tape on verso, lightly soiled). Provenance: Angus & Robertson Ltd. (bookseller’s sticker to inside cover) — Frits Menschaar (no evidence of provenance).
