Pierre-Nicolas Caulet d’Hauteville (d.1775), Paris, by 1763, and (probably) by descent through marriage to,
Viscount Pierre de Chézelles, by whom removed from the Hôtel de le Place Royale to Château de Boulleaume, Oise, 1826.
with Joseph Duveen, 1st Baron Duveen, by 1926, from whom acquired by,
Baron Edmond de Rothschild (1845-1934), Paris, and by descent to his grandson,
Baron Edmond Adolphe de Rothschild (1926-1997), Pregny-Chambésy, by whom sold on 29 November 1957 to the following,
with Rosenberg & Stiebel, New York, where acquired on 10 April 1964 by the following,
Anne Ford, née McDonnell, later Johnson (1919-1996), later owned with her second husband, Deane F. Johnson (1918-1999); their sale, Parke-Bernet, New York, 9 December 1972, lot 81,
