Diogenes

chiaroscuro woodcut printed from four blocks in mushroom, olive, bluish-green and greyish-black, circa 1527-30, on laid paper, with an indistinct Circle watermark, a very good impression of the second state (of three), with the small area of shading on the proper right thigh removed but with the large shadow to the left of the right shoulder still present, trimmed to the image, the upper corners made up, several other repairs
