Автор родился в Крыму, в семье врачей и геологов в 1963-м году. Еще в школе автор увлекается поэзией, театром, историей и археологией, а впоследствии сочинением песен и композициями рок-музыки. Первые уроки творческого мышления автор получает в музыкальной школе (класс джазовой трубы) и одновременно в частной художественной студии.
В 1983 году автор переезжает на учебу в Москву.
Поступая во ВГИК на кафедру кинорежиссуры, автор знакомится с киноработами режиссеров Новой Волны, Неореализма ( Трюффо, Годар, Бунюэль, Антониони, Висконти, и т.д.) изучает творчество Сергея Параджанова, Вима Вендерса, Феллини, Тарковского....
Уловив режиссерские и художественные особенности авангардного кино, автор переносит эти принципы в процесс создания своих произведений. В поисках универсального художественного языка, автор приходит к самому актуальному на тот момент для него жанру под названием Ассамбляж.
Практикуя редкий, почти запрещенный по тем временам в СССР жанр, автор знакомится с классиками авангарда, шедеврами рок-музыки, джаза, литературы и послевоенного запретного искусства России, актуального искусства 50-60-70-х годов Европы и Америки. Автор считает, что на его творческие взгляды в то время влияли как классики Средневековья, Возрождения, так и современный авангард.

My name is Ekaterina Zhuchenko, creative pseudonym RedHeadKat.
I have been an artist from an early age. Dad's sketchbook was the greatest treasure. Then I had not dreamed of writing yet
oil. A large set of watercolors in a white plastic box was often secretly taken from the shelf for my
naive art. The thick squirrel brush gave an unforgettable tactile sensation.
But I was able to forget about it "becoming an adult".
I am grateful to the people who helped me return everything. At some point, I realized that I couldn’t stop it. The same set of watercolors, already replenished with new shades. It
became my frequent joy. And oil painting is my discovery and a way to restore connection with my family and father.

Я была художником с малых лет. Папин этюдник был самой большой сокровищницей, хоть я тогда и не мечтала писать маслом. Большой набор акварельных красок в белой пласт-
ковой коробке часто в тайне был взят с полки для моего наивного детского искусства, а толстая кисть-белка дарила незабываемые тактильные ощущения.
Но я смогла забыть об этом "став взрослой".
Я благодарна людям, которые помогли мне всё вернуть. В какой-то момент я поняла, что не писть я уже не смогу. Тот самый набор акварели, уже пополненный новыми оттенками, стал моей частой радостью. А живопись маслом — моим способом восстановления связи с родом и отцом.

Монохромность окружающего пространства воспитало тягу к познанию мира через форму и фактуры, заложив выбор пути скульптора и графика. Начиная с поступления в художественную школу в 1987г., я всегда знал что буду Художником. В 1991 окончив художественную школу, поступаю в Художественное училище города Норильска, Северное отделение. Образованное под патронажем ЮНЕСКО- " Для сохранения самобытного искусства народов крайнего севера.." Приобщение к уникальной культуре Сурового края произошло на базе резьбы по дереву и кости. Окончив училище, скульптором, резчиком по дереву, в 1995 году, поступаю В Поволжский Технологический Институт г. Тольятти. В 2000г получаю высшее образование по специальности Дизайнер. С 2000г Живу и творю в г. Москве.
