Leslie CHARTERIS (1907-1993). The Last Hero. New York: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc,. for The Crime Club, 1931.
First US edition, presentation copy to P. G. Wodehouse, of a thrilling mystery with elements of science fiction. Octavo. (Faint toning, a few marginal marks.) Original black cloth, spine and upper cover with titles and upper cover with The Crime Club emblem in red, red endpapers with The Crime Club emblem printed in white (lightly rubbed and soiled); original dust-jacket (extremities rubbed, backstrip sunned, creasing and a few nicks and closed tears along edges with some minor loss to title on backstrip). Provenance: P. G. Wodehouse (1881-1975; renowned English author and humourist; authorial presentation inscription to half-title, 21 February 1931).

HEYER, Georgette (1902-1974). No Wind of Blame. London: Hodder & Stoughton Limited, 1939.
First edition, presentation copy to the author’s mother. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine lettered in black and gilt, spine and upper cover with linear decoration in black (faint crease in spine, lower corner of upper cover bumped); original dust-jacket (one corner faintly creased, very lightly marked and nicked). Provenance: 'For Mamma, with love from Georgette, 19.6.39’ (authorial presentation inscription to front free endpaper).

RODNEY, Bryan [Cyril Edgeley] (fl. 1949-52). The Owl Hoots [with:] The Owl Meets the Devil [and:] The Owl Flies Home. London: Wright & Brown Limited, 1945, [1949 and 1952].
First editions, presentation copies. Three volumes, octavo. Original red cloth, spine lettered in black (extremities lightly rubbed, spine faintly tanned, The Owl Flies Home slightly cocked and with some light spotting to endpapers); original dust-jackets priced 4/6, 7/6 and 8/6 respectively (lightly rubbed and nicked). Provenance: Stanley Fuller (authorial presentation inscription to titles, dated 21/9/45, 19/4/49 and 19/9/52 respectively).

BENTLEY, E. C. (1875-1956). Trent Intervenes. London: Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd., 1938.
First edition. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine lettered in white, top edge stained blue (corners lightly rubbed); original dust-jacket (lightly soiled, backstrip with chip to foot resulting in the loss of half the publisher’s name, a further few small chips and tears along edges).

First edition. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine and upper cover lettered in black (lightly soiled and rubbed, spine sunned, two horizontal grooves in lower board); original dust-jacket designed by Bip Pares (lightly rubbed and soiled, tear to corner of upper panel repaired with tape on verso).

First edition. Octavo. Three leaves of publisher’s ads at end (a few bumped corners and minor marginal marks). Original orange cloth, spine and upper cover lettered in black (slightly cocked, light wear, endpapers partially browned); original dust-jacket priced 7/6 (lightly rubbed and creased, several small chips along edges, spine lightly sunned).

FARJEON, J. Jefferson (1883-1955). The Appointed Date. New York: Lincon Mac Veagh, dated 1929 on title, but 1930.
First US edition. Octavo. Original red cloth, spine lettered in black, emblem blindstamped to upper cover, top edge stained red, untrimmed (a couple of tiny marks); original dust-jacket (creased and soiled, large tears to upper cover and both flaps, several small chips along edges).
