Йозеф Шарль (нем. Josef Scharl) — немецкий и американский художник, иллюстратор, графический дизайнер.
Шарль обучался на художника-декоратора в Мюнхенской художественной школе, где получил также практический опыт реставрации картин. Был ранен на войне, а вернувшись в Мюнхен, продолжил обучение в Кунстакадемии. В 1920-х годах Шарль присоединился к группам художников Новый Мюнхенский сецессион и Juryfreien, успешно участвовал в их выставках, а позже познакомился с импрессионистами.
Писавший в стиле Новой объективности Йозеф Шарль в 1939 году был вынужден эмигрировать в США, и 1944-46 годы ознаменовали пик его славы в США. Он также получил заказ издательства «Пантеон Книги» на иллюстрирование сказок братьев Гримм и других книг.
