My paintings are abstract in nature and are created anew each time in the process of intuitively following the imagination, in most cases without any preliminary sketches. They are multi-layered surfaces with a rich texture that exposes the underlying layers of paint, with rhythm, direction and a complex color pattern.
When I start my work, I mentally return to a moment of the past, real or imaginary, when I experienced certain emotions. When I relive it within myself, I work on transfering these emotions to the surface of the canvas. This process is akin to meditation, when emotional images splash out on the painting, as if without my conscious participation. A paint stroke is a reflection of a certain feeling. As emotions quickly replace each other, so do paint strokes overlap each other in the process of my work. Starting with some colors and shades, I can finish the work with completely different ones, covering and overlapping each layer many times. But, like the emotions experienced, each stroke leaves its mark on the surface, forming a unique texture.

My name is Anastasia, I was born in Riga, Latvia in 1996.
I graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry.
I am a professional artist. My specialty is a jeweler-restorer of items made of precious metals. (Jewelry).
I studied for 5 years, worked at the State Historical Museum, worked with historical values of the 11th - 19th centuries, recreated museum copies of jewelry kept in the museum. While studying in Moscow, I restored museum values of famous jewelry firms of the last century, such as Faberge, Ovichnnikov, Sazikov, Filaretov - court jeweler of Ivan the Terrible, one of the first jewelers mentioned in the annals, and others.
I am an industrial artist. I paint my paintings in different styles. I work in the genres of realism, impressionism - these are my two favorite styles, the style of realistic impressionism. You can also often see my work done in wet on wet technique or alla prima in impressionism style. Throughout my life, I have to paint in different styles and techniques, such as primitivism, art brut, cubism, abstract expressionism and other styles of modern conceptual art.
I also love to draw, I usually draw on paper with dry materials, some of my favorites are graphite and colored pencil, I also often combine materials such as ink and graphite.
I like to depict people, animals in my paintings and often paint still lifes, as well as paintings with nature and flowers.
Also, in addition to painting and drawing, I am engaged in the manufacture of jewelry, restoration of jewelry and the development of jewelry design.

About creativity:
“I have developed my own painting technique on transparent fabrics such as organza. This is not batik, but color graphics and painting on fabric. I also work in other techniques and with different materials: pastel, acrylic, oil, watercolor, etc.
Recently, I have been researching movement and pulsation: forms, lines and points in abstract painting and in space, as well as their architectonics. I developed my own technique and style, working with line and point, namely with drops of paint, which I then stretch into lines of different thicknesses. This is my conceptual idea for my abstract painting. Its origin lies in my works in the style of Khokhloma and Zhostovo, on which I worked in the 70s of the 20th century.

Художник Ковалёв Артур Викторович родился в1973 в городе Красный Сулин Ростовской области. Вскоре его семья переехала на Камчатку. В 1993 году успешно сдал вступительные экзамены в Российской академии живописи, ваяния и зодчества, основателем и ректором которой является народный художник России Илья Глазунов. Артур стал студентом кафедры реставрации и живописи. Академия считает своими высочайшими целями возрождение великих традиций отечественного и европейского изобразительного искусства, отстаивающих позиции высокого реализма.В 1999 году он успешно окончил академию с квалификацией «живописец-реставратор станковой темперной и масляной живописи». Как художник Артур много путешествует как по России, так и за рубежом. В течение 2001-2002 годов жил на Ямале, работал художником нефтяной компании. В эти же годы по предложению Евгения Атласова – бизнесмена, прямого потомка Владимира Атласова, присоединившего Камчатку к России, художник активно участвовал в создании документального фильма «Камчатский Ермак». В 2005 году фильм демонстрировался на канале «Культура». С 2003 по 2011 год художник жил в Португалии в г. Лиссабоне. Здесь он принимал участие в конкурсах, провёл более тридцати персональных выставок, выполнил работы для самых престижных учреждений страны. Его имя было включено в каталог лучших художников Португалии.

В создаваемых мною композициях нет изображений видимой реальности, в них передаются ее образы. Такая особенность уподобляет их иконам. Я стараюсь передать сакральное безмолвие жизни. Не только акустическую, но и внутреннюю тишину, наполняющую все вокруг. Вечное Здесь и бесконечное Сейчас – вот два главных героя любых моих картин. В них можно войти, если постараться смолкнуть и забыть всё, о чем знал до настоящего момента. Положительный опыт созерцания этих композиций посылает душе исцеляющий импульс, сила воздействия которого иногда сравнима с церковной службой, глубокой медитацией или успешным визитом к психоаналитику.
In the compositions I create, there are no images of visible reality, they convey its images. This feature likens them to ikons. I try to convey the sacred silence of life. Not only acoustic, but also inner silence that fills everything around. Eternal Here and infinite Now - these are the two main characters of any of my paintings. You can enter them if you try to fall silent and forget everything you knew about until now. The positive experience of contemplating these compositions sends a healing impulse to the soul, the impact of which is sometimes comparable to a church service, deep meditation or a successful visit to a psychoanalyst.
